Venn's Town Mission Lodge,

Mahé Island

2018

Those ruins are an important witness of the Seychelles' history. Around the years 1878-1889, after the abolition of slavery, the Society of the Missionaries of the Church built this place to take in the orphans born in slavery. Nowadays the remains of the foundations of five buildings, some walls and window frames are still visible.
